Postbridge

Postbridge in the heart of Dartmoor on the major through route.

Millions of people will recognise this photo of the old granite bridge at Postbridge. You will seldom drive past without seeing visitors posing on it or peering down into the waters of the East Dart river flowing beneath. Small wonder that newly married couples come here to pose for wedding photos. It's a pretty spot with a humped back single track bridge almost alongside which offers a good view of the clapper bridge to coach trippers and passing traffic.

The Postbridge Post Office sells heaps of things from mugs of hot coffee, ice cream cornets, stamps and provisions for campers.
