Holne Community Shop and Tearoom Holne Community Shop and Tearoom serves delicious cream teas and cakes, a terrific all-day breakfast, plus soups, sandwiches, pies and other goodies. The shop is incredibly well stocked with most things that visitors might need. They're open from 11.00 to 5.00 every day of the year except Christmas Day and New Years Day. A brilliant community-run enterprise - run and staffed by volunteers. They are located right on the Two Moors Way and also serve as a Dartmoor National Park information point. Holne Community Shop and Tea Room nestles in the charming village of Holne in beautiful Dartmoor National Park.

In 2011 the villagers formed a co-operative and in 2014 raised enough funds to purchase the premises with the help of the Charity Bank and the support of many local shareholders.

Staffed by local volunteers and one manager the shop and tea room prides itself on being very much run by the community for the community.

The premises have been designated an official Dartmoor National Park Information Centre providing maps, leaflets and guides.

Drake's Cafe Drake's Cafe was formerly the Halfway House pub. Now it takes full advantage of being situated on Drake's Trail (Route 27 cycle path) and is open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Sunday serving breakfasts, lunches, afternoon teas and a great selection of homemade cakes. The Fox Tor Café is a licensed cafe and is situated close to the centre of Princetown the heart of Dartmoor. We provide bunkhouse accommodation and have the only off-licence in Princetown. Princetown Cycle Hire Cycle Hire is now available at Fox Tor Cafe, only £18.50 per adult per day, with the bonus of being able to get a hot drink (or something stronger) and a meal when you return from your bracing cycle! Active & Outdoors

£10.00 for an adult bike or £6 for children’s bikes or a tag a long. 

If you just want a quick ride we only charge £5.00 per hour for any bike. 
Included in the hire price are a helmet, pump, puncture repair kit, lock and map.

There are two sets of waterfalls at Canonteign today: the natural falls which have existed in this valley since time immemorial and the spectacular Lady Exmouth Falls, named after the 3rd Lady Exmouth and built under her direction in 1890.

National Trust - Castle Drogo The National Trust property Castle Drogo is at Drewsteignton where the Gardens are open all year. Do see the gardens in the Autumn when they are full of rich colour. Castle Drogo is situated high above the Teign Gorge. It was designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens for self-made millionaire Julius Drewe. It looks ancient, but this remarkable building was only constructed 100 years ago, the last castle ever built in England. From the beginning it has suffered from water penetration and is now undergoing a 5 year conservation project that will last until 2017 to make it watertight.
