About ½ mile from the pub at Belstone, a dear little detached house close to the friendly owners’ handsome house in a large, well-ordered garden (use of astro turf tennis court). At the back, a small, private garden (table/chairs, barbecue) with gate to the open moor – brilliant for walkers.
Inside, very well done, neat and cosy. Five uneven steps (handrails) up to the entrance; living/dining/kitchen (combi-microwave, fridge, two-ring hob – no conventional oven) with ‘living flame’ electric stove, TV/DVD and view to garden/moors. Roomy double bedroom (6' bed, can be converted to twin beds for bookings for a minimum of 4 nights) with washbasin and en suite bathroom (suite, 4’10" long bath with shower over). Spring water. Laundry service available. Two adult bicycles available (extra). A welcoming hideaway, just right for walking, relaxing and watching birds.
Reviews
Tawcroft was in a beautiful location with amazing views, the owners kindly said we were welcome to explore their gardens and were very accommodating. The cottage was cosy and very clean, lovely extras on arrival. Fantastic walks right on our doorstep. Lots of unusual birds visited the bird stand in our garden area that we could watch out the window. We stayed a month and were sad to go and would stay again.
