The Shippen is located within the Dartmoor National Park, 2 miles from Tavistock and sheltering privately in wooded farmland, is Grenofen Manor. The Shippen is a semi-detached ‘upside down’ cottage converted from an old milking parlour, one of many beautiful barns and stables which served the manor house. It has pretty views of well-kept flower-filled grounds and long views to the moor, and its own little secluded garden (table/chairs, barbecue) for sunbathing/snoozing (not ball games). Lots of footpaths around.
Open-plan living/dining/kitchen (slimline dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, freezer, fridge, electric range-style cooker) with TV/DVD/Blu-ray and stable doors to little conservatory (cane chairs) leading to garden. Downstairs, two bedrooms – a double, and a twin (hooks for clothes-hanging); newly fitted shower-room (suite). Tumble drier and secure bicycle storage in part of garage opposite. A lovely quiet place.
