Beaworthy is a quiet hamlet situated 10 miles NW of the ancient market town of Okehampton. Only 18 miles from Bude on the north Cornwall coast with its sandy beaches, cliff top walks and great surfing. Beaworthy also has good access to the Dartmoor National Park and many of Cornwall 's famous attractions such as the Eden Project just over an hour away.
Beaworthy Cottage which sleeps 5 and has three bedrooms, Trap House has two bedrooms sleeping 3. They are adjoining self-contained cottages developed from outbuildings constructed when Beaworthy House was a farm. Both cottages look out over gardens to the rolling Devon countryside with panoramic views of Dartmoor.
Both Beaworthy Cottage and Trap House are equipped to a very high standard with a good selection of guidebooks and local information. Access to both cottages is to the rear of the house, off the large yard, which offers ample parking. Each cottage has an outside seating area for alfresco eating or just somewhere to sit, read and sip a sundowner. The gardens are very much under construction at the moment but are beginning to take shape. They are gradually working on the hedgerows laying and thinning dead and old wood. So a day in the green gym can be arranged!
Beaworthy Cottage has two double bedrooms, one with en-suite shower room, a single bedroom & a spacious family bathroom with corner bath. The large kitchen/dining room is well equipped with a range cooker, dishwasher, washing machine &fridge/freezer. The comfortable sitting room is well furnished with modern sofa & armchairs, TV, DVD, video & hi-fi system & good views of Dartmoor. Linen and towels are provided along with domestic cleaning materials, as bio friendly products need to be used. The cottage is centrally heated with its own hot water system. The adjacent patio is equipped with attractive teak furniture. Your car can be parked just outside the door for ease of unloading.
TrapHouse takes its name from its original use, the large window in the lounge being the original entrance. The accommodation consists of two bedrooms, one double & one single & a spacious bathroom with corner bath. Full central heating & hot water system. The entrance hall leads to an open plan kitchen/dining/lounge the pleasant relaxing lounge area equipped with TV, DVD & video. The kitchen is equipped with a full sized oven, hob, refrigerator, dish washer & washing machine. All linen is provided as well as environmentally friendly cleaning materials. Outside seating & dining is provided for & parking is adjacent to the door to simplify unloading.
