The Peter Tavy Inn is a charming 15th century pub in the pretty village of Peter Tavy on the western flanks of Dartmoor. The village feels remote but is easily reached, being just a mile off the A386 two miles north of Tavistock on the Okehampton Road.
We are renowned for our good food and well-kept real ales. Home-made dishes are prepared from fresh local produce.
We have a good sized car-park and walkers, cyclists, dogs and children are welcome.
Monday - Saturday: 12 noon - 11.00pm
Sunday: 12 noon - 10.30pm
The Peter Tavy Inn is proud of its reputation for good food.
We serve lunch from 12.00 noon till 2.00pm and evening meals from 6.30pm till 9.00pm daily.
From Monday to Saturday, a special Pensioners' Lunch menu is available
In the evenings, between 6.30pm and 7.30pm, our special Early Evening Bar menu is available daily
To finish your meal, we offer a wide range of homemade puddings, a wide selection of ice creams and sorbets, or a cheese board of six Devon cheeses.
A children's menu, including pizza, scampi, sausages, chicken and jacket potatoes is also available.
Inside, you will find ancient timber beams and - in winter - warming log fires. On warm days, our garden provides a perfect setting to enjoy a meal and a drink, looking out over the Dartmoor countryside. Close by is the Village Children's playground, with swings and a slide.
We usually have 4 or 5 real ales on our hand pull pumps. We only stock West Country Ales. Our regulars include Jail Ale from Princetown Breweries Ltd, Ideal Pale Ale from Tavy Ales and Summa That from Branscombe Vale Brewery.
We always have at least one "guest" ale which could be from any West Country Brewery. Over the last few years we have had ales from St Austell Brewery, Cotleigh Brewery, Blackawton Brewery, South Hams Brewery, Red Rock Brewery etc.
Other Beers & Lager
We have Guinness and Leffe Blonde on tap. For Lager drinkers we offer Carlsburg, San Miguel and Dortmunder on tap.
We only stock one cider but it is one of the best -
Sam's Poundhouse Dry Cider from Winkleigh Cider Company. [Wines racked behind the bar at the Peter Tavy Inn]

We try and cater for every taste and have 10 wines by the glass and about 50 wines by the bottle.
At the last count we had 26 single malt whiskies.
