The South Devon Railway is based at Buckfastleigh
A favourite of film companies for costume dramas. It's a busy little station with lots going on.
Steam engines run on the line from Buckfastleigh through Staverton down to Totnes.
A picturesque journey through typically English green countryside and along the beautiful River Dart.
It is possible to catch a boat called the river Rat for a 10 minute trip further down the river into bustling Totnes.

The Dartmoor Railway is based at Okehampton.
This 15 mile Dartmoor Railway climbs 600 feet from the Tarka Line, near Coleford through
Sampford Courtenay through Okehampton and onwards to Meldon, high on the flank of Dartmoor.
The station at Okehampton is gloriously unspoilt and a trip down memory lane along the re-opened line is a delight.
Walking from Meldon station you can gain access to the Dartmoor National Park
or simply stroll to Meldon Viaduct to take in the views of Yes Tor and High
Willhays and cyclists are able to take their bikes along Route 27 of the National Cycle Network.
Running alongside the railway track is the Granite Way Cycle track from Okehampton Station to Lydford.
