Hello, I am Moss, a German Wirehaired Pointer and, at the time of writing this, my first blog, I am 8 months old. Pretty clever, eh?
I live on Dartmoor and, let me tell you, it is a great place to be a dog! Not only are there zillions of great places to walk, rivers to jump in and rocky bits to climb, it’s also a really dog friendly place. Pretty much everywhere I go I am welcomed. Pubs and...

The rivers are varied, sometimes challenging, but you will be in one of the most beautiful spots in the UK to cast a fly and will often be alone with just rising trout for company. Our latest Guest Blog has been kindly written by Pete Tyjas of The Devon School of Fly Fishing

Visit the moorland town of Moretonhampstead and the White Hart hotel is hard to miss, standing large and imposing at the town’s centre. It is an old posting inn dating back to 1639 and you get an instant feeling of history and permanence that is somehow very comforting. Add all the modern day luxuries it now offers and the place has a very welcoming feel indeed.

Our latest guest blog about the joys of walking the Two Moors Way is with sincere thanks to Sue Viccars the editor of Dartmoor Magazine.
One of the joys of my life as a freelance writer and editor specialising in southwest England is how so much of my work 'cross fertilises'! Almost everywhere I go - particularly on Dartmoor, be it researching a new walk route or checking out a new cafe or...

The Eden Hotel Collection embarked on the £2 million restoration and refurbishment in January, less than six months after acquiring the iconic hotel with the aim of restoring it to its former glory.
