The Victorian farmhouse is surrounded by 200 acres of farm land which is farmed with sheep and cattle thus creating an idyllic countryside retreat. Its located on the north side and doorstep of Dartmoor and is situated 14 miles from the Cornish border, but with easy and close access to both the A30 and M5. Those who want more energetic activities can enjoy the open space and sense of freedom, they can also enjoy pony trekking, golf and sailing which are all close by, not forgetting Hiking on Dartmoor with it's abundant wildlife and scenery. There is so much to do and see for all ages, you will leave wanting to visit again.
When you first approach this imposing Victorian farmhouse up the curving avenue you will see a spectacular array of old Beech and Chestnut trees which give off a wonderful display of colour all year round. The wonderful rhododendron's when in full bloom give off amazing colours and sit amongst beautiful mature trees and shrubs. The breath taking views, natural rugged moorland which is surrounded by farming land stuns many guests as it's a sight to be seen. It's a pleasure to enjoy the peace and quiet, walk through the grounds or stroll through the countryside looking for the numerous and varied wildlife away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
The bedrooms are spacious, light and comfortable with en-suite and walk in showers. They do offer evening meals by arrangement, sorry but not on Sundays. If you prefer to eat out then there are many nearby eateries well known for their excellent food. Free transport to the local pub if needed on request. The spacious lounge provides warmth and comfort wit TV should you choose to stay in, on cooler evenings the wood burner will be lit.

Sourton Room - A delightful room with king size bed overlooking the front lawns.
Brentor Room - A versatile king and twin bedded room, which can be used as a double, twin or family to your choice. The bathroom has a separate walk in shower and bath. This large room overlooks Brentor church and gardens below.
Jubilee Room - An east facing room with a super king and en-suite. Has the option of an extra bed for child
Lydford Room: Single en-suite

Evening meals are served at 6.30pm. (No evening meals on Sundays). They have not got a table licence to sell wine, but you are very welcome to bring your own. Coffee & Teas of your choice are served in the lounge or conservatory after your meal.
