Spreyton is just a five minute drive from the A30 dual carriageway into Cornwall. Jan and Dennis at The Cobbles love to share their wonderful home with guests. One plus factor they have is that the Tom Cobley Inn, famed in the Widecombe Fair song, is just a stone's throw away. 2 doubles, 1 ensuite and 1 with private bathroom, PLUS twin/family room with a private bathroom. Dogs stay free at this very dog-friendly bed and breakfast.
With stylish interiors, sumptuous bed linen and cosy rooms Hollyberry Barn Bed & Breakfast is a hidden little gem offering luxurious accommodation, all set within one mile from the pretty town of Chagford. With breathtaking views overlooking Dartmoor it is the ideal base for exploring, walking, fishing, golf, horseriding or just to unwind, relax and enjoy some of the excellent pubs and restaurants in the area.
18 Mill Street is a delightful Victorian home of great character just 50 metres from Chagford's bustling town square, with an array of shops, pubs, cafe's and churches. Chagford, known as 'The jewel of Dartmoor', is a beautiful rural town in Dartmoor's National Park, surrounded by countryside, rivers and moorland with plenty of opportunities for walking and sight seeing. There is a bus service to and from Exeter (20 miles away) where there is also the main line train station and international airport
Slap bang in the middle of the Moor you can enjoy putting your feet up in front of the fire in the guest lounge at this great B&B where Lynette and Adam offer 5 cottage style bedrooms, 2 twins and 3 doubles (1 as a family room) all have television, tea trays and wifi. Sensible off road car park and best of all they offer home cooked evening meals, 2 courses at £18.50 and 3 courses for £23. Let Lynette know in advance if you wish to eat in the evening.
The Harrabeer Country House is a licensed country house situated halfway down a quiet residential Devon lane within a 10 minute walk of the local shops and pub of Yelverton village. There are 6 comfortable bedrooms all with en suite or private bathroom facilities, an updated bar and good wholesome food with generous helpings. It's more of a small family hotel really. I can recommend it without hesitation.
Tor Royal, a listed property with period decor to match. Wonderful setting high on the Moor at Princetown, this is perfect for the riding treks they have on offer from their own stables. Organised treks including visits to local pubs for lunch beginners catered for. 4 double/twin rooms all ensuite, Lilly, Wallace, Sherlock and Tyrwhitt, plus a smaller pretty room out of the main house, overlooking the courtyard and at a reduced price. Evening meals by prior arrangement £20 pp
Evelyn Waugh wrote Brideshead Revisited whilst staying here. 5 en-suite rooms, all with flat screen TV and Sky freeview channels. Views over the garden to the Deer Park. Good walking area. Castle Drogo and the wonderful River Teign are all within walking reach. Open all year round. Chagford is a just a short drive.
In a small hamlet away from busy traffic. Trudie has been an excellent landlady for many years. Quality bedrooms. This is a real working farm in the heart of a quiet Dartmoor hamlet where the farming family keep their horses. Free range eggs, local bacon and wonderful home made marmalade on the breakfast table.
Acorn Lodge is situated on the outskirts of Peter Tavy village near Tavistock in Devon and is within the Dartmoor National Park. It is a Bed and Breakfast with a difference as it is separate accommodation from the main house with it's own front door and has lots of space to relax and super facilities. It sleeps from 1 to 4 guests but is only ever booked to one party of family/friends so that you will always have the lodge completely to yourselves. We accommodate stays from one night to however long you wish to stay and single occupancy is also available. Continental Breakfast is available or a Full Devonshire Breakfast is cooked each morning for guests in the main house Conservatory, if required. Outside, guests have use of an enclosed and secure garden area with a "Beach Hut" Summerhouse, table and chairs. There is secure bicycle storage for guests bringing or hiring bicycles. So, whether you like to walk, cycle, horse ride, play golf, visit historical places and eat fantastic food there is plenty here to make your holiday enjoyable. The coasts of north and south Devon and Cornwall are also within easy reach and you will find a wealth of other activities and interests nearby. Bring your dog(s) and horse(s) and walk/ride across the moor, grazing and loose box available.

Bed and breakfast in one of Chagford's oldest houses with loads of character. Beams and a real fire in an inglenook fireplace. Very pretty garden with far views to Kestor Rock. Short toddle into town and 4 pubs for good evening meals.
Short toddle from centre of Moretonhampstead town. Perfect for bookworms as the house is stacked with great books. My idea of comfort. Guaranteed good breakfast as Victoria is a good cook. Victoria offers a single whenever available. This accommodation is not suitable for small children or any size dogs, sorry. Parking is on street or in one of 2 car parks within 3 minute walk.
The Old Vicarage's situation is as beautiful as the house. Liz and Don have three lovely boutique rooms all of which are en-suite. They have a large garden surrounded on all sides by fields where cows, sheep, Dartmoor ponies and deer graze. For visitors interested in the night skies, they are in an area of near-zero light pollution and on clear nights a fantastic number of stars/planets are visible. Guests are welcome to use the house telescope. The open moor also surrounds Shaugh Prior and there are beautiful far-reaching views from all rooms. The city of Plymouth is 6 miles away and the sea at Plymouth Sound and Penlee point can be seen from a number of rooms.
I paid a visit to Penny at Brook Farmhouse and absolutely loved it! Ancient thatched farmhouse full of charm. Homemade biscuits to have with your tea. Easy access into Exeter. I thought that it had only one bedroom on offer, but actually there are 3 bedrooms which Penny will only let to one party, so it is most frequently used just as a double. Apart from the huge main bedroom there is a spacious double and a child's bedroom, again with a double bed on offer. They share a bathroom, but it's a great space at the top of your own private, steep, charming staircase plus your own roomy guest lounge.
David & John look forward to welcoming you to 'Overcombe House' their award winning guest accommodation that can be your sanctuary in Devon's delightful Dartmoor National Park. Their most popular rooms & their spacious breakfast room have stunning views over Dartmoor towards North Hessary Tor & Leather Tor.
Old fashioned courtesy in a quiet country house. Lovely garden especially at rhododendron time. Off road parking, and an easy drive to Tavistock. The Peter Tavy Inn is just up the road for handy evening meals. Dogs by arrangement but not in the house.
A wonderfully comfortable house for the bed and breakfast visitor. From the beautiful garden with stunning view, to the well sized bedrooms. Great farmhouse cooking at breakfast and evening meals.
Totally Dartmoor. Small privately run bed and breakfast couldn't be more central on Dartmoor. An excellent choice for walkers. Home made evening meals in the dining room, and I know that the food is good. Dogs are very welcome to stay too. They are used to taking people 'off the road' who want to stay overnight, and then stay on for longer and longer. I'm not at all surprised.
Barnabas House B&B is a beautifully restored Edwardian house in a peaceful location on the western side of Dartmoor National Park, close to cycling trails, National Trust properties and the beautiful Tamar valley, and within easy reach of the historic city of Plymouth. Relax in one of their spacious, clean and comfortable en-suite rooms, most with lovely views over Dartmoor.
With views all around, this is a happy family house with pets and a country living lifestyle.... Say hello to 'Chicken' the pink cockatoo, choose a good book and take a tray of tea into the garden. It's a place to relax. Legendary breakfasts cooked on the Aga. Walks up to Meldon Common with stunning Dartmoor views.
