Mill House Barn is a sweet little detached cottage converted from a barn tucked behind the friendly owners' former mill house. A trouble free bolt hole for two in a beautiful, rural oasis with great walking locally.
Self catering cottage in the garden at The Rugglestone Inn. Sleeps 4 in comfort. With a double bedroom and a twin room. Ideal for those wishing to nip into the pub in the evening for your supper and not have to worry about driving home and getting lost on Dartmoor !
With views all around, this is a happy family house with pets and a country living lifestyle.... Say hello to 'Egg' the parrot, choose a good book and take a tray of tea into the garden. It's a place to relax. Legendary breakfasts cooked on the Aga. Walks up to Meldon Common with stunning Dartmoor views.
Townend Barn, sleeps 2 and is an elegant cottage from which to explore the magical wilderness of the highest tors.
Julia and Martin have a quality hideaway here, alongside the main house, but entirely separate, this little cottage is perfect for two. With a king size bed under oak beams and beautiful country garden plus small lake, this has to be one of my top recommendations for a romantic honeymoon on Dartmoor. The pleasant shower room is on the ground floor as the bedroom takes up most of the space up aloft. The kitchen is super too. I love it. Close enough for a steam train ride on the South Devon Railway.
The Horn of Plenty is a beautiful 19th century manor house on the Devon/Cornwall border. Located in stunning surroundings overlooking the Tamar Valley, 5 minutes' drive from Dartmoor, it offers a high standard of excellence to make your stay in the West Country all the more relaxing, comfortable and enjoyable.
Each of the 16 en-suite bedrooms is unique in it’s country chic design, displaying both contemporary richness and classic sophistication. Great care has been taken to restore the original period features, whilst installing all the modern comforts you expect and appreciate. Rooms are light, fresh and airy, and most enjoy panoramic views of the beautiful countryside.

In a small hamlet away from busy traffic. Trudie has been an excellent landlady for many years. Quality bedrooms. This is a real working farm in the heart of a quiet Dartmoor hamlet where the farming family keep their horses. Free range eggs, local bacon and wonderful home made marmalade on the breakfast table.
Number 5ifty 8ight is a new boutique bed & breakfast situated right in the heart of Tavistock, so is the ideal 'adult-getaway' as it is just 5 minutes walk to the local bars and restaurants in Tavistock. Jan and Mark offer a relaxing, indulgent and sumptuous stay, whether it be for a walking holiday, romantic break, a celebration etc. If you just want to get away from it all and chill out, this is the place for you. With that in mind they have chosen to offer facilities for “grown ups” only and they regret that they are unable to cater for “non adults” or pets.
2 miles from Widecombe-in-the-Moor, down 700 yards of private drive, are six cottages around a courtyard, superbly converted from an Edwardian 'model farm' and with direct access to open moorland.
Cullaford Cottage is just ½ mile from Scorriton, in the tiny hamlet of Combe through which the River Mardle meanders to the beautiful, bouldered River Dart, a stunning detached cottage, once home to the author Mary Wesley and a haven from the modern world.
The Old Vicarage's situation is as beautiful as the house. Liz and Don have three lovely boutique rooms all of which are en-suite. They have a large garden surrounded on all sides by fields where cows, sheep, Dartmoor ponies and deer graze. For visitors interested in the night skies, they are in an area of near-zero light pollution and on clear nights a fantastic number of stars/planets are visible. Guests are welcome to use the house telescope. The open moor also surrounds Shaugh Prior and there are beautiful far-reaching views from all rooms. The city of Plymouth is 6 miles away and the sea at Plymouth Sound and Penlee point can be seen from a number of rooms.
2 miles out of Chagford offering a suite on the ground floor and rooms above. Impressive house. Fresh flowers throughout summer from their own very beautiful gardens where you are invited to relax. Horse riding locally. Helpful owner keen for you to enjoy your stay.
"Very special indeed. You will love the warm outdoor pool. Tor Cottage has 5 double/twin suites all to a very high quality. This luxury bed and breakfast has won many awards, and rightly so. It's a grown up treat of a place.
Little Arrish is located on the road to Haytor and is a smart single-storey cottage, newly created and thoughtfully designed for easy mobility. It provides an excellent base for exploring Dartmoor and the south coast; particularly for anyone with limited mobility.
The Elephant's Nest Inn is a quintessentially English - and Devonshire - country pub. The 3 generously sized en-suite B&B rooms are located in a newly built extension. Beautifully furnished with solid oak floors and under floor heating, all rooms have large Vi-Spring beds, soft goosedown duvets and pillows and luxurious soft furnishings. Being located in as remote a place as it is, great emphasis is placed on good food, although the pretentious 'gastro pub' description will not be heard here! The garden at the Nest is a 'must see'.
